Staying Cool

It was a hot weekend, but we found ways to stay nice and cool! Olivia had fun playing in the sprinklers Saturday while daddy worked on the yard.
Sunday we attended the May Fest at our church. Olivia had fun sliding down the large slide with papa but figuring out how to get her up there was not easy!
She also enjoyed playing on the playground.

And playing with her friend Parker from daycare.

We were so hot when we got home so we decided to cool off with the pool the Easter bunny brought Olivia.

We brought the slide over to have some fun! It was so hot out that I actually got in the pool with Olivia. The water sure was cold!

As I was folding laundry later that day, Olivia came up to me with a pair of my shoes and placed them on the floor in front of me and said "mommy, shoes". She tried putting her feet in them but had a difficult time so I helped her out and she pranced around the house in my heels.

She later discovered how difficult walking and heels can be and decided it was easier to walk with only one shoe on and the other in her hand.

Just recently, Olivia has started putting a few words together. She'll say "mommy, shoe" meaning that they are mommy's shoes. She'll say "bye, bye Daddy", "Claire, hi (and then give her a hug)" and sing "row, row, row boat."

  1. Hey Kristi! I'm glad you got a few pictures on Sunday. We'll have to be sure to pull out the camera again on Friday. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

(That is so funny about Olivia and your shoes!)
