I have a hard time believing that my little girl is already 2 1/2! But she was so excited when I told her it was her half birthday. Her response immediately was "I get to have my Belle party today!!" So I guess she has already decided what kind of party she wants to have when she turns 3 which I had to explain to her. Her disappointment didn't last when she got chocolate pudding with pink sprinkles after dinner.
She was also VERY excited to open up the bag she had wanted when we were at the dance store picking out her leotard. She should be starting ballet this fall and she is more than excited about it. She likes to wear her "ballet costumes" around the house and dance.
She is an amazing helper, wanting to help with everything, even cleaning. I love her passion and determination she has for figuring things out. She also reminds me a lot of me with her stubbornness...uh oh! When her mind is made up, that is it.
She is all girl. She loves pink, dressing up, shoes, make-up, dancing and looks at herself in the mirror a little too often. She has even gotten to the point where she doesn't like to get dirty. She has gone back to wearing a bib when she eats because she doesn't want to get anything on her clothes and if she spills a little on the table or gets anything on her hands, it needs to be wiped immediately. And yet somehow she loves to play outside and color herself with side walk chalk and roll around in the dirt.
She is great at entertaining herself and has the best imagination. I walked in on her having a picnic with Minnie, wearing my shirt. It was too cute!
Besides everything else I've listed, Olivia you are smart, beautiful, energetic, happy, a little crazy at times and I love every minute of being your mother. Hopefully the second half of your 2s will go by slower than the 1st half because I don't know if I'm ready for you to be 3 yet!
Happy 2 1/2 Birthday, Olivia!!
