GIRL!! Olivia is going to have a little sister! She couldn't be more excited. From the start she has been saying she was going to have a sister so I am so glad that she got her wish. I am not quite sure she understands that she doesn't get to choose the gender of her sibling because when I told her it was a girl, she just gave me this "duh, I've been telling you that for months" look.
I tried not to engage with Olivia before when she called the baby her sister because I didn't want to give her false hope so it has been so fun to now get to talk to her about her sister. She is so excited for her to be here. She says she will feed the baby, get up with the baby at night, change her diaper and share all her toys with her. We will see about that.
Now that my stomach is obviously bigger, it has been fun to see the way Olivia reacts. She likes to tickle my belly, but really she is tickling the baby and every night before bed she kisses my belly (her sister) goodnight. I know she will make the best big sister ever and I am so excited for when she gets to hold her little sister for the first time :)
