Our Christmas

Our Christmas was busy, as always, but that's because we are lucky and have so much family to share this time with.  This year it meant 4 days of Christmas straight in a row.  The girls didn't mind at all!  But of course first, we had to get ready and get our tree and decorate!

Olivia was really into decorating again this year.

She loves to put the star on top of the tree.  Hopefully she will be prepared to share this with Abigail soon!

It was really exciting to see 4 stockings this year!

And I even make Jared decorate the outside!  So much fun!  I like to try to get something new to ad each year at the after Christmas sales.  This year I was able to find a giant lighted wreath at a great price to add to the window for next year!  Olivia thinks having the lights put up outside is awesome and she always got excited when we pulled up at night and they were on.

We had our annual Christmas party which I think was the 8th in a row (maybe more)!  As I mentioned after last year's Christmas party, we did end up having an adult Christmas party.

But that was ok with Olivia because she got to have her own Gingerbread house party with a couple of her friends on a different weekend.

Since Olivia has been old enough to help make an ornament, she has helped to make an ornament for the grandparents each year.  This year since Abigail wasn't old enough to help, we did these plates instead that I found off pinterest.  Love the way they turned out!  Except baking them in the oven didn't seem to bake on the paint so they are for decorative purposes only when I had hoped they could be used for both decorating and serving.

The "1st day of Christmas" began the Saturday before Christmas at Grandma's house.

Abigail got to open her 1st present ever.

Which meant she got to taste her first taste of wrapping paper.

 This girl was a pro.

And both were excited about the new stuff they had gotten, although I think Olivia might have been just a little jealous of this present that Abigail got.

The next day we got together with grandpa and Darlene to celebrate Christmas.  Olivia is really loving this lion hat she got!

Then Christmas Eve we spent the day at Nana and Papas.

The girls were excited to unwrap more presents.

Abigail was starting to get the hang of things, until she'd get distracted.

Olivia wanted to open everything up from the boxes and play with it right away.

A scavenger hunt led the girls to the garage where they discovered something Olivia has really been wanting!  Every time we go to the playground she says she needs a see saw for her back yard.

Even after 3 days of Christmas in a row, Olivia was still excited to wake up Christmas morning to see what Santa had brought!!

She also had to see what all Santa and the reindeer ate. She specifically wanted to leave zucchini and squash for the reindeer so they could be healthy to get Santa back to the North Pole (or maybe so it wouldn't be in our house for her to have to eat).

The girls started on their stockings first.

Abigail was really excited when she opened new pacifiers.  Straight in her mouth they went!  I will probably need a lot of help when it comes time to take these away.  Olivia never took them but Abigail is beyond addicted.  I try my best to not give them to her much, but they are like magic.

Next up, more presents!

Olivia was excited to get her unicorn dream lite she asked Santa for.  She also got a LeapPad 2 that she loves, among many other things!

We had a wonderful, busy Christmas!  It was nice to have a few days home afterward to relax!
