Thanksgiving Weekend

Olivia woke up Thanksgiving morning just as happy as can be...you would have thought it was Christmas. She was grinning from ear to ear with what seems to be her new smile because she has been doing it ever since and I just LOVE it! It's like she turned into a toddler over night because her personality also blossomed so much over the weekend.

She now points to me as proud as can be when I ask, "where is mommy?" She is also a ticklish little girl and giggles up a storm when you tickle her side, neck or feet and has a new favorite game of throwing/dropping everything and saying "uh-oh." When I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING. She also loves her baby doll and will hug and kiss her and then hold her out for you to hug and kiss and then eventually, throw her on the ground as well.

We had Thanksgiving lunch at my parent's house and Olivia did good eating all of the food. The stuffing was definitely her favorite!

Olivia got to enjoy a wagon ride and some time on the swing after lunch.

Then the turkey must have gotten to her because she was out cold!

The second part of our Thanksgiving was spent at Jared's Mom's house with a smaller Thanksgiving than usual because EARLY the next morning, we all had a flight to catch.

Olivia didn't seem to want to have her picture taken while she was stuffing her face full of food.
On Friday, Olivia went on her first airplane ride! Unfortunately, the trip wasn't what I would have expected her first airplane trip to be as we were headed to Ohio for Grandma Gibb's (Jared's Grandmother) funeral. The funeral was beautiful, but with Olivia developing more of a personality she does not like to be quiet or sit still. It didn't help that it was also nap time when the ceremony took place so Olivia alternated between fussing, talking and dropping anything that I gave her to entertain herself and saying "uh oh" pretty much throughout the entire ceremony. Although she wasn't on her best behavior, I think everyone enjoyed having her fun and bubbly personality there to lighten the mood.
We love and miss you Grandma Gibbs!

Olivia did pretty well on the flight to Ohio considering we had to get her up at 5:00am to catch a 7:00am flight, but the flight back was not as smooth. Again we had a 7:00am flight so Olivia was already cranky from getting up at 5:00am, plus cranky from her entire weekend being off schedule, plus I was pretty sure she had an ear infection because Saturday she broke out in a rash over her entire body as she had before and continued to mess with her ears (and I was right about the ear infection) so the flight back was not as fun.
But, Olivia had a great time at the airport watching the other planes take off with Grandma.
She also had no intentions of sitting still during the layover and crawled and walked (with help of course) around the airport.
