According to Olivia's Pediatrician, she is as healthy as can be! And apparently she is very inquisitive and outgoing as she has no concept of stranger anxiety. She reached out to see her Pediatrician and sat on his lap while "talking" to him and playing with his stethoscope. Then she reached out to see the nurse and again had a conversation with her. Although the friendliness towards the nurse ended after she gave Olivia her shots.
I've stopped giving Olivia her bottle during the day and just giving the night bottle so she can learn to drink the milk from a sippy cup. She is fine without getting the bottle, but still will not drink the milk from a sippy cup so I've been giving her a lot of her calcium in her food to supplement. Yesterday she tried orange juice (calcium enriched) for the first time and she loved it so much that she chugged the entire thing (luckily I only gave her a little) and then carried her sippy cup around with her everywhere she went! I've heard mother's who have had to mix milk with orange juice and slowly eliminate the amount of orange juice in the sippy cup to get their kids to drink the milk from a sippy cup. This sounds disgusting, but I might just have to try it if she doesn't start drinking the milk!
Olivia is exactly the same height as Meghan was at 12 months, although Olivia has 2 1/2 extra lbs on her in weight! That's a growing girl, I mean, princess.
