Easter!

It's hard to believe Olivia is already celebrating her 2nd Easter. Although she is still too young to understand the real reason Easter is celebrated, she was able to enjoy the festivity side of Easter as far as the candy and egg hunt this year, unlike last year.

The Easter bunny seemed to be as excited for summer as we are as he left behind a pool and a basket full of summer goodies! He also left behind some peeps and a chocolate bunny for Olivia!

Olivia was very confused to wake up and see a pool full of eggs (although she called them balls) on the living room floor!

She happily jumped in and started playing with the eggs and then checked out everything in her basket. She wasn't as interested in the basket as I would assume a bathing suit and accessories aren't that exciting for a 1 year old, but she did find a bracelet in her basket that she immediately put on and kept on the entire day! I'm sure she thought it was a lot prettier than the play rings or empty tape holder that she usually wears as bracelets!

After breakfast, Olivia discovered the eggs that the Easter bunny left behind!

Once she finished collecting them all, she counted them.

She didn't think she had enough, so she got into the pool and started collecting the eggs that were left there.

Then Olivia got dressed in her pretty Easter dress and we headed to church.

That evening, we headed to my parents and Olivia got to do another Easter egg hunt while the adults got to do one as well. After all these egg hunts, Olivia has become a pro! There were also more baskets left for Olivia!

She finally got to eat her first peep!

Like I said, by the end of the day, she still had her bracelet on! The bracelet switched wrists quite a lot as she would decide she wanted it on the other hand and switch quite often, but she wore it the entire day!

  1. I'm so glad y'all had a wonderful Easter, Kristi! I can't get over how adorable Olivia's hair is! So sweet! Looks like y'all are doing well. Oh- and by the way, the recital is May 18th at the Koger Center. There is a 5:00 show (for the younger kids) that lasts a little over an hour if you and Olivia want to stop by! (It's free!) Take care!
