Mommy/Daughter Weekend

While daddy was away for the weekend, Olivia and I found lots of fun mommy/daughter activities to do! We started Saturday off with a play at the Children's Theater. It was a very cute theater and I was surprised when Olivia immediately wanted to sit on the floor with the other kids. After about 5 minutes, the show still hadn't started and she got bored and was ready to go. Once the show finally started she ended up sitting with Nana and me and enjoyed the show.

Then that night, we had our first mommy/daughter sleep-over with Mary Addison and Meg! Olivia was obviously excited!

Aunt Connie even stopped by for a little and thought she was going to get to eat the burger she picked up on the way over, but Olivia decided she needed to play instead.

The night ended with hugs from the girls as they went off to sleep in separate beds since I don't think they're quite ready for a real sleepover yet. The mommies stayed up and watched a disappointing USC game. And in case you are wondering about the transition to the big girl bed, it has been great! What an easy transition!

Sunday, we were very excited to go to a Sesame Street birthday party for Alyssa! Since Olivia had this perfect, little tutu already, it gave me an excuse to buy her very first leotard and she dressed as Abby Cadabby!

She got comfortable with the birthday girl on Greg's lap and they had fun bouncing around together.

They had fun coloring.

Then Olivia discovered the dress up clothes and decided she needed a new pair of shoes to wear and some necklaces to match the outfit. This girl LOVES shoes, necklaces and bracelets...you could say she is a girly girl.

When it was time to open presents, Olivia was happy to help Alyssa out and kept eyeing all the toys she wanted to take home she'll get to play with at Alyssa's.

She then enjoyed the icing off of the Elmo cupcake.

The sugar got the best of her and she was wild and crazy in the ball pit!

Happy 2nd birthday Alyssa! We had a great time!
