Trick-or-Treat!

 After several Halloween events, it was finally time to go trick-or-treating!  In case you are wondering, I didn't have to bribe Olivia to wear the wings this time, she just wore them!  Yay!  She also let me cut her finger nails without a fuss (this is always a battle) when I explained to her how Tinkerbell cuts her finger nails and she couldn't dress as Tinkerbell if she didn't cut her finger nails like Tinkerbell does. 

We had several people join us for trick-or-treating fun!  Grandma was there with her brand new puppy that she had just picked up!  Olivia LOVED the puppy!

 Nana and Papa were there as well.

They brought along their dogs dressed as ballerinas.  Olivia had fun helping Papa walk them throughout the night.

The Lazinek's were there and Will was all ready to go dressed as a Firefighter!

The Johnikin's were there as well and Olivia was in love with Keeleigh's Ariel costume.

I was not expecting Olivia to be as independent as she was trick-or-treating!  Just last year she wasn't even old enough to trick-or-treat and then this year she didn't need any help!  She was super excited and went up to most houses on her own.  She often forgot to say trick-or-treat, but did well with saying "thank you."

There were a few houses that were all decked out and those houses scared Olivia.  She didn't even want to go to them with me walking with her so we skipped those ones.

One house Olivia went to, the lady handed her a piece of candy; Olivia continued to stand there so the lady handed her another piece of candy and Olivia continued to stand there.  She continued to hand her multiple pieces as Olivia stood there trying to see how many pieces she could get!  I finally had to walk up and get her.  The couple giving her the candy thought it was the cutest thing!

Another house we went to, the lady gave Olivia a piece of candy and still had a couple pieces in her hand.  Since most people were dropping all the candy in their hand in Olivia's basket, Olivia must have thought she meant to give her the rest and as she told her "thank you" she grabbed the rest of the candy out of her hand!  Luckily we knew these neighbors and they just thought this was cute!

As we were out front getting ready to go trick-or-treating, a group of kids walked up for candy and one girl was dressed as Snow White.  Olivia was so thrilled to see her and exclaimed "pretty!"

At one point I looked behind me and saw Jacki (holding Noah) and Jared's mom (holding her puppy) walking together.  It was cute so I had to get a picture!

 When we were finished, we came back and the kids all ate pizza together.  

Then they dug into their bags of candy.  That's a lot of candy!

And it wouldn't be Olivia if she didn't steal someone else's shoes that she likes better by the end of the night!

We really had the best time trick-or-treating!  I can't believe we have to wait another year to do that again.  Thanks to everyone who came to join us and especially thanks to Heather who stayed at our house to hand out candy for us!
