Abigail - 2 months old!

You certainly are doing a great job growing!  You eat very well during the day which means lots of sleep for mommy which I love.  Leading up to 2 months, you pretty consistently were going to bed at 7:30pm and not waking until anywhere between 4:30am - 6:00am for a bottle and then sleeping again until around 8:00am.  Your waking time started around 4:30 and as the month progressed it kept getting pushed back.  Now that  you are almost 2 1/2 months you are going to bed at 8pm and sleeping all the way through to 7:00am.  I love that you are such a great sleeper because we all really love sleep in our house!

I wasn't able to get many 2 month pictures of you because your big sister insisted that she had to be in the pictures with you and wouldn't let me take them with just you.  She absolutely loves you and is the proudest big sister and wants to be where you are at almost all times.  She sings to you, "I Love You Like a Love Song Baby" on a regular basis.

 

When you are well rested, you are usually a very happy baby and I can easily get smiles and little laughs out of you.  You haven't done your first big belly laugh yet but the little laughs and coos you make are precious.

 

Although you are a great night sleeper, you are not a good napper.  You tend to take a lot of short little cat naps throughout the day which means you get overtired and overstimulated easily and when this happens you get cranky and want mommy to comfort you.  You do however take good naps when you cuddle with me which means I have taken full advantage of that.  I love that you love to cuddle.

You LOVE your play mat.  You can stay entertained laying and kicking for a really long time.  You love to look up at yourself in the mirror and roll over on your side but you do not like to be on your belly on the floor.  Your big sister also loves to join you on the play mat.  You love looking at her and hearing her talk to you.

 I can already tell that you are ready to talk because you try so hard to make sounds and like to watch mouths when people are talking to you.  Olivia thinks your first word will be mama and then sissy.  Daddy thinks it will be dada.  I guess we will find out soon enough. 

Now that you are 2 months old, you have blossomed into such a happy baby and I can't wait to watch you grow and find out what you will be like as you get older.  But you don't have to do that too quickly, I enjoy all the cuddle time I get now.
