August from my phone

Since the only pictures taken from my camera in August were Abigail's 5 month pictures, here is August from my random phone pictures and videos.

Olivia finished swimming lessons.

Even though she had to miss a few classes for going out of town, I feel like she still learned a lot!

At the end of the first class, all the kids jumped from the dive boards into the water but Olivia wouldn't.  They did it again the last class and she did it!

After Olivia's last swimming lesson I was later that day supposed to take her to a friend's birthday party.  Instead unexpected things happened and I ended up napping on the couch with Abigail, drugged on pain medicine, while daddy got to take her to the party instead.

I had SEVERE abdominal pain and after it didn't go away after an hour, we headed to Urgent Care.  It turned out I had a gallstone attack.  I didn't even know I had gallstones, but apparently it is very common after having babies since high levels of estrogen cause them.  Usually stones pass on their own and you don't even know you have them but mine was so big it was stuck and I had to have the stone and my gallbladder removed soon as it was affecting my liver function.  So a few days later I was in the hospital for 2 procedures, a 2 night stay and finding myself recovering from yet another abdominal surgery this year (c-section with Abigail in March).  And this is the wonderful food I got to eat...

Abigail's class made me a get well card.

And I got an extra 2 weeks "vacation" to stay home and recover.  Which meant more time spend with the kids and time to actually get some things checked off the ever growing to-do list!

At first (because I really did need to recover) I just kept 1 girl home for the day and it was so wonderful to get to spend 1 on 1 time which each Abigail and Olivia.

But my recovering also meant daddy had to take over more and clearly he is a little confused on how bath time works....

We still continued to spend a lot of time at the pool.

And since I couldn't get in, Abigail was sweet enough to cuddle on the lounge chairs with me.

Olivia got really good at "swimming."  She isn't exactly swimming but can jump in, get back up and tread water by herself so I'd say it's a great start!

As I started feeling better, spending time at the playground was a must...

And of course walking to get ice cream!

I was able to get some serious cleaning done and even fun projects like this...

We even started a big project of building a stage for our FROG!  Olivia helped...

I don't think she realized it wasn't going to be finished that same day and was anxious to play on it.  So she got dressed and ready and played on it unfinished anyway.

We had a little dance party out in the garage...

Complete with "flying leaps"...

And arabesques!

We also signed Olivia up for soccer this fall.

After trying on all of her gear she did a soccer dance.

Dance classes started.  Olivia is taking both ballet and jazz with her best friend from school, Emma Grace.

Football season started!!!

While we watched the game, Olivia had an intense game of Hungry Hungry Hippos going on upstairs in dress up clothes of course.

Abigail became quite the rolling machine!

We went to a pool party/cook out for Jared's college fraternity that he now serves on the alumni board.

Olivia thought it was awesome getting to play games with the big kids!

And that about sums it up!
