Olivia's Great Nana came into town from Arizona to visit and see Olivia for the first time. Olivia makes her 10th great grandchild; the 11th followed shortly after; but Olivia is the only great grandchild who doesn't live in Arizona as well, so her Nana was very excited to meet her for the first time.
They even read stories together.

On Saturday, we did what we do best and went shopping all day at Concord Mills in Charlotte.

About half way through shopping, Olivia got kicked out of her stroller...

Because we needed more room for the bags!

At dinner, Olivia had carrots which were a big hit unlike the peas.

Olivia also used a sippy cup for the first time; although it didn't go over to well. Grandpa "fed" it to her to show her how to use it so Olivia confused it with a bottle and wasn't happy when she got water instead of formula.

So, a couple days later I gave her the sippy cup to try again and this time I just handed it to her for her to figure out. To my surprise, she knew exactly what to do with it and drank from it! The pediatrician said it would take her awhile to figure it out so I was not expecting this. I always knew she was a genius!

Sunday, everyone came over so that Nana could see Olivia's nursery and I cooked dinner. After dinner we literally spent the next hour watching Olivia play on the floor. She was very happy to have an audience and loved the attention.
This weekend we are all headed to the beach and I could not be more excited!
Of course she's a genius!! A supermodel, ballet dancing, soccer player genius.
