Chatterbox

What most people don't know is that Olivia is very talkative. For some reason, she is shy around people so no one really knows this, even at daycare. But when she is at home with just her daddy and me she talks non-stop. It seems she is learning new words every day so I just wanted to capture as many words as I can think of that she is saying at almost 14 months old. I'm sure I'll leave a lot out but I'll do my best!

She says the basics: mama, dada, dog, doggie (dogIE), ball, uh oh, baby (ba-be), bye bye (buh bye), hi (hiiiiii), hello, apple, elmo, bee, diaper, bath, book, up, more, no, cocky (for those of you who don't live in SC, cocky is not a bad word - it is the nickname for our USC mascot and it is standard for people to shout "Go cocks" without anyone thinking anything offensive about it), Abby (as in Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street - she hasn't watched Sesame Street but Abby is on one of her plates) and of course she babbles words that I'm not really sure of what she is saying.

She also says jacket and then after we put her jacket on she says "buh bye" and waves goodbye.
If you ask her:
What does a dog say? She says woof
What does a bee say? She says bzzzzz
What does a cow say? She says mooo
Where is your nose? She points to her nose and says "nose"
Where is your ear? She points to her ear and says "ear"
Where are your toes? She points to her toes and says "toes"
Where is your head? She pats her head but for some reason doesn't say head like she does with the others.

If you hold out your index finger she will put her finger up to it and say "ouch" (remember the movie ET? Her Aunt Andrea taught her this one)
She also knows motions, but not words to "Wheels on the Bus." She can do the round and round for wheels on the bus, the swish, swish, swish for wipers on the bus, the shh, shh, shh for people on the bus and the move on back for the driver on the bus.

She has a steering wheel type toy that when you push the horn it honks and says "out of the way" and so now she repeats that when she hears it but luckily it doesn't really sound like out of the way so hopefully she won't start saying that to all the boys at daycare.
Yesterday I tried to teach her I Love You so she could say it back to me when I say it and every time I tried to get her to say it; she would blow me a kiss instead. I'm not sure where she got that from but it was too cute.
Also yesterday, we watched the "Under the Sea" part of The Little Mermaid on You Tube and when Sebastian was on the screen, Olivia giggled and said "Elmo." So, I guess all red creatures are Elmo for now.

**EDIT** Of course I forgot some things...she says "wow" when something is neat and after she slides down her slide she points to it and says "again."
