We celebrated Jacob's 1st birthday over the weekend. Mee Jean incorporated some Korean traditions which involved Jacob selecting from a few different items which were meant to predict his future. He picked the rice first which meant that he would never go hungry. After he was finished picking all of his items, Olivia said "it's my turn now, I want the red monkey" pointing to the pair of kid friendly chopsticks on the table! I guess she was excited to get in on the action too!
She later had fun trying to eat with the chopsticks.
When it came time for cake, Jacob wasn't so sure about it.
But the rest of the kids dug right in!
Olivia was willing to lend a hand when it came to opening the gifts. Luckily Jacob didn't get anything pink, otherwise she probably would have ran off with it!
And by the end of the party, wouldn't you know, Olivia was wearing someone else shoes. This girl is a shoe thief, you have to watch her!
