We had a great time at the Crawfish Festival this year. As always, the crawfish were yummy, but quite spicy!
Olivia really wasn't so sure about the crawfish though and since they were so spicy, we didn't give them to her and instead she suffered with having to get ice cream later on instead.
We met up with her buddy Alyssa and family for a little while and Olivia was quite in the mood to pose for some pictures!
After eating, we headed over to check out the rides. Olivia was very excited to ride everything! I think it is funny how she still won't ride the carousel (except the bench seat), but she wanted to ride everything here!
She was even excited to ride the rides all by herself.
Although she didn't need me, because she wasn't scared to ride them all by herself, she still let me join in on the fun for some of the rides with her.
Check it out, no hands!
You would think after all this fun in the sun that we'd all get long naps after wards...but nope, not with Olivia! This girl has some energy! She still takes naps during the week at daycare because she gets up earlier, but on the weekends, she's been done with naps for quite some time. It actually is nice because we don't have to plan around or worry about a cranky girl because it is nap time. And she has gotten to the point where she will play in her room quietly by herself for "quiet time" instead of a nap so if I still need that time to get stuff done, I can, but there usually isn't anything that can't wait until after she goes to bed and I prefer the extra time on the weekends we get together instead!
We ended the night with a nice quiet movie night where Olivia got dressed in her Tinkerbell nightgown to watch Tinkerbell. A weekend favorite activity of ours has become family movie night!
