Church Performance

Olivia was an angel in our church's Christmas program.  She mainly just sat on the stairs for the majority of the play which meant her sitting still for about 30 minutes.  Sometimes she is good at sitting still, other times, not so much.  During the dress rehearsal that morning she did great with sitting there the entire time.  By the performance time that night, I guess she was done with sitting still.  Not to mention, she usually gets a burst of energy at night.  She was quite the character in the show.

She looked completely adorable in her costume and was so excited to be an angel!

As you can see, sitting there didn't look like too much fun...

So she began to torment the boy sitting next to her by tickling him with her rope tying the robe on.  He kept wanting her to stop and she didn't.  He eventually switched places with another boy and she then did the same to him.  The boys were not too happy with her, but she seemed entertained!

After she wasn't getting anywhere with tormenting them, she started singing and kept singing throughout the rest of the performance a mixture of "Silent Night" and "Away in the Manger."  She sang very quietly, although at times would get really loud!

She got really excited when her buddy Parker (a horse) came to join her because it meant she had someone else to entertain her.

But he didn't last very long and crawled off like a true horse and Olivia got up and chased after him saying, "horsey get back here!"  Luckily she didn't chase him down the entire isle and turned back around and sat back on the stairs.

And she continued to sing once she got back to her seat.

Then it was time for everyone to stand up and sing.

It was a very entertaining evening and it looks like Olivia will prefer a more involved role than just sitting there looking cute next year!  After the performance, Olivia went to the Elf Store and picked out a gift for mommy and daddy.  I can't wait to see what she picked out!
