We have spent a lot of time at the pool this summer. Olivia can't get enough of it!
We actually prefer to go in the evenings so we don't have to worry about sunscreen and sunburns! We spend a lot of evenings during the week here. Olivia does a lot of swimming.
Abigail does a lot of napping.
We have started Friday night swim night and pizza night with friends since we have discovered that pizza can be delivered to the pool.
"Mom, I'm trying to eat!"
Abigail has been able to get in a few times and she loves it as well. She usually takes a short nap as we get there and then is ready to go until bedtime.
Most days when she naps, she has a napping buddy.
This totally counts as getting showers for the night, right?
Olivia also started swimming lessons. She has had 2 classes so far and after the first she feels so confident in the water she no longer wants to wear her armies. She now only goes in the pool with a noodle and does really well. I am glad how confident she is, but it also scares me a little...have to watch her like a hawk!
Her second class focused more on safety practicing boat safety and about lifeguards.
The little girl in the boat with Olivia did not want them to flip the boat (she saw the kids before her) but Olivia told me after class that she wasn't afraid like the other girl.
We've even been getting invites to friends pools.
Which means getting to play with new toys!
