Edisto!

We took a long weekend with friends to Edisto to get in one last trip to the beach before the weather got too cold.  It was late enough in the season that the beach was empty, but still earlier enough that the water was warm enough so it was perfect!

Half of us went up a day earlier so we got to spend extra time on the beach which was just fine with the kids!

The guys did a lot of fishing but never ended up catching any!

Abigail enjoyed the sounds of the waves.

 

Which eventually put her to sleep!

 

The beach is always more fun a friend to play with!

And of course Olivia loved going out in the water!

Back at the house, the kids got delivery ice cream!

And I couldn't get enough of this sweet girl hanging out!

We went for a late night walk on the beach and Olivia made a crazy face!

Abigail slept, it was past her bedtime.

The next day, more friends were there to join us!

Even Abigail had buddies to play with!

In nearby streams, we did manage to catch a few blue crabs that we cooked and ate!  There was a lot of effort put into these 3 crabs that were caught but it was fun and the kids loved it!

The kids even had sparklers to play with!

On the way out, we stopped by Botany Bay where we got to do a little more fishing.

Jared even caught a little something.

 

We took a trail down to the beach.

 

Olivia said it looked just like an elephant graveyard (from Lion King).

We dipped our toes in the ocean one last time for the season before heading home!
