A Christmas Story Auditions

"Mommy, I can't put my arms down." But seriously, isn't that what you think of when you see this picture? This picture was just sent to me by my mom. This was taken just before Olivia was 8 weeks old when she got sick for the first time. We were getting her all bundled up to take her to the after hours Pediatrician because she had a fever of 100.3 and our Pediatrician was already closed. But, the outfit turned out to be too big and bulky so we just bundled her with blankets instead.

This little girl is a rock. I would have never known she was sick had I not taken her temperature. The only reason I took her temperature is because she threw up her second bottle for the day and she never does this. There was no fussing or anything. Plus, her daddy had just gotten over being sick. Sure enough, she had the flu. I gave her some Tylenol and the next morning her temperature was down to 99.3 and by the end of the day her fever was completely gone! Just like that, Olivia was over the flu! Even her Pediatrician couldn't believe how quickly she got over the flu when I told him about it at her 8 week appointment.

At her 8 week appointment Olivia was 22 1/2 inches long (85th percentile), weighed 11 pounds, 3 ounces (78th percentile) and her head was in the 92nd percentile! I guess she needs such a big head to hold the massive brain she has!!

I think she is now flipping me off!! Guess she doesn't want any more pictures taken!
