She is Growing so Fast!

Olivia had a major growth spurt! As I was getting her ready for bed, I noticed how much longer she was in comparison with the changing table than she usually is. So, I decided to measure her, and sure enough, since her 2 month appointment (3 weeks prior) she had grown 1 1/2 inches! Which now puts her at 24 inches!

Look how big she is getting!!

Olivia's newest amusement has now been her hands. She has discovered that she has them and is completely fascinated by them! I often catch her clasping her hands together and just watching them in amazement at how she can open and close them and clasp them together.

So happy to have found her hands!

Wow, these things are neat!

Another fascination of hers, and has been for a couple weeks now, is watching the mobile as it plays music and moves around and around.

This last weekend marked 2 firsts for Olivia. She got to see her first play and went on her first overnight trip. Saturday we went to North Augusta to visit her Grandma and to watch her cousin perform in their school play. As always, Olivia was fantastic and we didn't have to leave the auditorium once during the play because of her fussing.

I was a little worried about how well she would sleep being in a different place because at home, her room stays dark even when it is light outside and we keep her door shut to keep the noise out. Even though the sun came shining through the window in the morning, it wasn't until the dogs decided to wake up and check on her that she woke up. Luckily it was after 7am so we didn't have to worry about getting her to go back to sleep. So her first play and overnight trip went very well. Which is nice to know, since there will be many more to come!
