Football season has started and we are supporting the Gamecocks with our garnet and black as always. Saturday was the first home game which meant the first tailgate of the season and even more exciting, Olivia got to go to her first Carolina game!
She even had her buddy Parker there to keep her entertained. Between Parker's family and friends, we have 5 tailgate spots next to each other this year!
Olivia even has her own sized Gamecock tailgate chair! She was ready to go!
There was a lot of cheering done to get ready for the game.
The kids even each cheered for their dad as they played corn hole and our boards finally got to get broken in!
The weather was perfect! It hardly felt as if it was the first home game with as cool as it was.
Olivia was REALLY excited when she got to meet some of the cheerleaders. She couldn't stop shaking her pom poms to look up at the camera.
We celebrated daddy's birthday. Each of the kids decided the candles looked yummy and had to take a bite out of them and immediately spit it right out. You would think one might have learned from the other, but nope, they all had to check for themselves!
Olivia's friend Meghan stopped by for awhile with her mom.
Then it was time to head into the game. Olivia loved cheering. She would say, "I'm aloud to yell as loud as I want, GO GAMECOCKS!" There were some Navy fans behind us who tried to get her to yell "Go Navy" but it just didn't happen. She even held up her Jewelry Warehouse sticker that said "Beat Navy" to show them as she told them "Go Gamecocks." This gave all of us a good laugh!
Every time the announcer would say "that's another Carolina first down!" Olivia would say, "but we want a touchdown!" Too cute!
She definitely like the popcorn...
But her favorite part was getting to walk down to see the cheerleaders and Cocky close. One of the times daddy took her, a police officer stopped them as they were about to head back to their seats to let them know that Cocky was coming up to the gate if Olivia wanted to have her picture taken. Jared didn't have a camera on him so the officer offered to take a picture on his phone and then he sent it to me. This was so nice of him! It looks like Olivia is trying to do the hand motion that Cocky was doing in this picture!
Olivia said she definitely wants to go to another game this year! I can't wait!
