Easter 2012

Abigail's first trip somewhere other than the Pediatrician was to see the Easter bunny!!  Last year Olivia wanted nothing to do with the Easter bunny but this year she was really excited!

We had fun dying eggs at home while Abigail napped.

Olivia even had fun making marbled eggs.

She was really into dying the eggs this year and asked if we had more eggs she could color when we were finished so I boiled what we had left.

We made it on another outing to our church's Easter egg hunt festival.  There were a lot of activities planned...songs, egg hunt, crafts, games and of course the story about Easter.

A lot of Olivia's friends were there too!

I just love watching her sing all the songs and do the hand motions!

Abigail slept the entire time.

Last year Olivia only wanted to collect pink eggs, but after a school field trip to the Rice House where they set up an Easter egg hunt for the kids, Olivia learned eggs may have candy in them and raced to get as many as she can.  She shook each one before putting it in her basket but all of them were empty.

She got a lot of eggs this year!

And she thought it was really neat getting to show off her baby sister to her friends.

Olivia was really good at putting...as in she placed the ball less than an inch from the hole each time and each time she made it in on her first try!

It is so cute to see these girls always wanting to hold hands, and it's even better when they manage to not hurt themselves in the process!  This day was a success at not getting hurt.

The Easter bunny showed up and left baskets full of fun stuff for the summer...bathing suits, sun glasses, swimmies, etc. along with a few other things.  Thankfully the Easter bunny doesn't leave a lot of candy at our house since the grandparents send plenty already!

Olivia insisted on getting dressed and putting on shoes before coming downstairs.

After going through her basket, she went through Abigail's basket for her.

But not until after eating her bunny.

Then there was an egg hunt!

Olivia searched for all the eggs...

...and Abigail watched.

We didn't make it out of our house all day, but we had family over so it was a nice, laid back Easter for us.
