EdVenture

Sunday was our last day we had off for the Christmas break so we ended it with a family trip to EdVenture to take Olivia to see the Fairytale and Snowville exhibits.

We loved the Fairytale exhibit.  It was so cute.  Olivia even got to stand in the tower of the Beast's castle from Beauty and the Beast.  She doesn't look very thrilled in this picture because she was ready to go in the castle and I made her stop and take a picture first, but believe me, she was very excited to go in, just not excited to stop and pose for pictures.

When we went in the castle, she immediately wanted to play the piano.

We climbed through Thumbelina's mole hole...

rode in Cinderella's pumpkin carriage...

and slid down Jack's beanstalk!

We also visited Snowville and built our own Igloo...

and had fun sliding through the snowy mountain over and over again!

The craft for the day was noise makers which Olivia wanted to carry around with her for the rest of the day (as seen in the above pictures).

It was brutal coming back to work after getting so much fun family time together.  Even Olivia's first day back after 2 weeks off was rough.  When I put her to bed Monday, she didn't want me to leave and instead made a bed on the floor for us to sleep together.  It was really sweet and I was sad that I couldn't join her in the slumber party and instead we read a few extra books together.  I'm already looking forward to more time off.
