Olivia's personality is really beginning to develop now that she is getting older. She smiles a lot and it is a lot easier to get laughs out of her. She likes it when I kiss her belly and blow raspberries on it. I can almost always get a laugh out of her that way. She loves to chew on things now. Anything that you give her to hold will be in her mouth, including her hands. There are very few moments in the day when she isn't sucking on her hands. She is also starting to "talk." I can't quite make out what she is saying, but when she learns a new noise that she can make, she makes it over and over again until she learns a new one.
It took awhile before I could get some 4 month pictures without her hands in her mouth.

If they're not in her mouth, she's still sucking on them somehow.

Finally, her hands are out of her mouth!

Olivia is also really getting into playing with toys and discovering how things work. She likes anything that involves her using her hands. She is really beginning to enjoy her jumperoo. It is still a little too tall for her so we have to put a pillow underneath so her feet can reach. I am not sure how most babies use this because she is pretty tall for her age and she still isn't tall enough.

She also enjoys the exersaucers.

Now that she is 4 months, we get to start rice cereal! Her first attempt at rice cereal went a lot better than I thought it would. She didn't mind eating it at all and it didn't take her long to figure out what she was supposed to do with it. Her first few attempts, she just spit it right back out but it wasn't long before she realized she was supposed to swallow it.

I had to keep moving her hands out of the way because she wanted to put them in her mouth which made it difficult to feed her.

It wasn't long before Olivia decided that she was ready to feed herself so she took the spoon out of my hand and attempted to do it herself. She wasn't very successful.
And this is what she looked like when she was finished.
She was nice enough to help us clean off her hands.
