And we're almost rolling!

Olivia continues to become more and more active, discovering new and exciting things every day. The once laid back baby now likes to be entertained quite often. I really don't mind though because I love how she continues to become more responsive which means there are new things for us to do together every day. Some days it does make eating dinner or getting chores done a little more difficult though. You would think I would get these things done during her naps but...

When else do you get such perfect cuddle time?

I have been continuing to feed Olivia rice cereal, but the rest of the attempts have not gone as well as the first. She has decided that spitting it out is a lot more fun that swallowing it and that if she hits the spoon full of rice cereal while I am trying to feed her that it makes a big mess. I figure she'll eat it when she's ready.

Friday night was Olivia's first night away from me, which I am sure was harder on me than Olivia. She went to stay with her grandparents while her daddy and I went to a wedding and then had a night out the two of us. She didn't listen to me when I told her to wake the grandparent's up multiple times in the night, but other than that, she was very well behaved :)

Olivia also had multiple visitors come this weekend. On Saturday, Grandma Fox, Great-Grandma and Aunt Andi came to visit. The Grandparent's only stayed for a short visit since we'll be heading to North Augusta next weekend to visit anyway but Andi stayed around and is currently watching Olivia right now.

On Sunday, Jamie and Paul also brought their little girl Meghan by since they were close by.

Meghan has began to army crawl now so I laid Olivia on her tummy to pay close attention to Meghan crawling hoping it will help motivate her to be more mobile while on her tummy instead of just laying there. Olivia is plenty mobile and loves to kick around when on her back or sitting, and especially in the bathtub, just not when on her tummy. I think watching Meghan might have just worked because later that night, during a session of tummy time, Olivia began kicking a lot more than normal. In fact, she rolled over for her first time...kind of...she had some help. I put her changing pad under her so that the angle of the side could help her with the first step of rolling over of getting on her side and she did the rest all by herself!

She looks so happy to have made it this far on her own!
