Swimming Pools and Feet

I took Olivia swimming for the first time on Saturday. Our pool doesn't open until Memorial Day weekend so we went swimming with aunt Connie at her pool and "aunt Kitty" came to join us. I was very excited to take Olivia swimming because she LOVES the bath, but I wasn't sure if she was going to like the cold water. When I first put her in, her eyes got really big and she froze for a second, but after the shock of feeling cold water for the first time she became quite relaxed and I am pretty sure she enjoyed it.

After bathing Olivia in SPF 50 sunscreen, we first started out in the "baby section" of the pool for Olivia to get her first feel of the cold water.

Since she seemed content with the water, we then decided to try out her float.

The float is meant for babies who are able to sit up on their own so she didn't quite fit the way she was supposed to, so she went for the lounging option.

Which then turned into naptime.

When she woke up from her afternoon nap of floating around the pool, I put her all the way in the water.
Where she attempted to swim.

Her diaper was so full of water that her butt wouldn't sink.

I will need to make sure to get swimming diapers before her next trip to the pool. Those huggies sure do soak up some water!

Later than afternoon, we met back up with Connie and Rebecca (aunt Kitty) and Heather joined us as well for a little shopping and dinner. During dinner, Olivia found her feet! It looks like her hands are old news now that she has feet to play with.
